Memory Scripture 20

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Notes: If you look up the word "meditate" from Joshua 1:8 you will find that mediate is not merely a mental exercise but also a verbal one. Mediate in this text can be defined as to think or to speak. Therefore, we must not only think on the word, we must also speak the word. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of the Lord. Speak the scriptures aloud and allow your faith to come by the hearing of the Word.

Prayer: Heavenly father you are holy and there is none like you. I pray that you continue to give me a hunger for your Word. I pray for continued revelation that I may be careful to observe to do according to all that is written in it. May your word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. May it continue to lead me into all righteousness, living a life that brings you glory. May it be the standard by which I judge myself and may it provide the wisdom to make personal adjustments as necessary. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Declaration: Father I thank you that everything begins and ends with your Word. I thank you that you and the Word are one and when I spend time in the Word, I'm spending time with you; when I live by the precepts in the Word, I'm living a life that's pleasing to you. Today I'm making my way prosperous because I keep your Word in my heart and mouth. According to your word I am what I think so I think on your Word and therefore I speak those things that are in agreement with you. Thank you Lord that me, my household, and everything that pertains to me are walking in the fullness of your glory and favor.
