Every now and again I need a little refresher course in the "basic" things of God such as worship, prayer, etc. This video on worship says it all: http://www.sermonspice.com/videos/9109/the-gift-of-worship/.
Laughter is medicine accordingy to the Bible. Here's a good one for anyone who has ever felt intimidated or shy about sharing your faith. http://www.sermonspice.com/videos/722/evangelism-linebacker-no-excuses/.
Be blessed and be a blessing,

LAUGHTER
Now, you certainly know that I could find comedy in the evangelical linebacker. Did you see him sneaking around the corners within that house attacking the guy on the phone who didn't want to share his faith? LOL. Oh my! Even though it's a very humorous video, we do need to be more forthcoming with our witness to others. Sometimes that will be in upfront and direct questions such as, "Do you know the love of Christ?" and "Have you accepted Christ as your personal Saviour?" However, other times our very best witness will come through us simply being. Simply being who God created us to be and allowing Him to shine through us in our walk, our talk, our character and our actions; not in an over-glorified "churchy" kind of way, but in purely being ourselves. You'll be surprised where and how opportunities of sharing your faith will emerge when you permit others to see you being real and being you. Then you can attack 'em like a linebacker! *OK, sorry...I just had to bring the linebacker thing back it...that video tickled me. ;-)
WORSHIP
Key takeaways from the clip:
Life gets crazy and painful. No one can deny that. Job Stress. Divorce. Death. Addictions. Parenting. Loneliness.
No one is asking us to pretend as if these issues do not exist when they appear in our lives. We don't have to wear a facade for others while cracking and chipping away at the weight of the pressure underneath the surface. No, this actually causes us more pain. Instead, through worship and our prayers, we are given the opportunity to bring all our concerns and hurts to the Cross and release them at the feet of Jesus. And upon the release, to worship Him. Not to worship Him because of what He can do to solve our problems or for what we can receive from Him, but to worship Him because He IS. To worship Him because He's God. To worship Him because He's Good (and His creation is good, which includes us). To worship Him because He's our Father, our King. To worship Him because He's our Redeemer. To worship Him because He's Love and He loves us dearly. For all these reasons...worship Him.
